^^ Now there's a unique way to propose. Apparantly it worked for the guy though. ^_^

My hubby's first birthday present to me was an epic mount in wow back in it's first year when epic mounts were 1000g and REALLY hard to get. I still use that mount on that character 3 years later. It was hands down the most useful and thoughtful gift he'd ever given me. I haven't even touched the "real" Christmas presents from last year from anyone yet with the exception of a blanket my mom made me.

Sometimes it really is the thought that counts. He knew that I couldn't afford a mount like that. It was practical and thoughtful.

The best present I have ever given anyone cost me $5. I simply walked to an autograph session with my sister's favorite band and had it signed by her favorite singer.

Anyway my point is, depending on the receiver of the gift or action, what you might consider valuable or romantic might not be the case with them. Everyone is different.
