I heard that I occasionally twitch. It happens a little when I'm awake, and I usually notice, but according to my mother, I twitch a lot when I'm sleeping. Is this normal? Is this a big problem?

I twitch now and again. Sometimes my twitches are so pronounced that everyone in the room feels the need to ask me if I am alright. I have yet to find out exactly what these twitches are or why I have them. It will be interesting to see what others have to say.

I know I twitch occasionally. And apparently it is noticable enough that the teachers stops teaching to make sure I'm okay. At the time I didn't even realize I was twitching...but I suppose everone else did!

I've read, and I've been told, that my twitching is because of my autism.

I twitch excessively. It gets really bad when I am upset. I also twitch myself awake most nights. I noticed it after a friend pointed it out to me at my first sleep over(9th grade). I was falling asleep and I would jerk and wake up. I am not sure why I do it.

When I stay really tense and can't relax I'll start getting involuntary ticks, yes.

I didn't used to, but ever since a bad series of panic attacks a few months ago, I twitch when I'm stressed or sick.

i twitch a lot, but thats due to my tourettes, twitching can occur when stress or overloaded, if it occurs at all times then it might be possible to have a tic disorder.

Yeah, I twitch. Dunno if I do it in my sleep, though.
It can get annoying, too. Like if I get this twitch near one of my eyes...

I twitch occasionally, but it becomes a necessity when I'm experiencing a lot of anxiety and/or a meltdown. Twitching is a way of releasing all the pressure building up inside me and it helps me relax afterwards. For example if I'm having a meltdown in school (happens too often) I'll lock myself in the bathroom crying, hyperventilating etc. And then I'll twitch. They're really hard to control and it looks really horrible like I'm having a seizure or something, but it makes me relax really quickly.
