I would like to ask if it were a child that got pregnant.

Would there be as much of a negative reaction as the 72 year old that got pregnant?

It happens. The life expectancy is usually better for a young mother than an old one.

^Yeah if the child knows what they're getting into once they've had their baby.

I'm not really saying the 72 year old did the right thing but there does seem to be a lot of negative reactions to this old lady on the thread.

I just find it a bit humorous, that's all.

I'm surprised to know that a 72 year old woman still has a working and functioning uterus ... What happened to the "great change of life"???

It is very rare for a 72 year old to have babies, in fact it reminds me of when Betty McCloud in the girl who could fly had piper at an age which is not considered young anymore. I can’t believe aborting female fetuses is legal while aborting males fetuses is illegal, feels like gender inequality. I also think that if you are going to have children then it should only be because you want them, and you want someone to love.
