For the techie AS guy on you list: I found this headset for pc gaming that can read 13 types of thought patterns, and head motion and head muscle motion. With it is bundled a game where you play a psychic, and do stuff like bending a tree with your mind. Too bad it doesnt release till next year...

I agree with everyone who said to get something relating to their obsession.

Most aspies usually have special interests, something related to that would probably be good. :)

I would think if you know a person with Aspergers well enough to want to get them a gife, chances are you've been on the recieving end of one of their long monologues about their obsession. In which case it's simple just get them something relating to their obsession.

Like for example, I don't see my uncle very often, but apparently it doesn't matter, as he picked up on my current obsession with Doctor Who and took me to the exhibit at Earls Court for my Birthday. And my dad got me specially made Doctor Who t-shirts (which I love! One says : Someday my Tardis will come and the other says: I'm a Doctor Who-lligan!, He's normally terrible at getting me gifts, but that's not because I have Aspergers, it's cos he gets stuff that he'll like that I won't so he ends up getting them!).

Even if they already have what you get, it shows your reconise what they care about, and are trying to relate to them on their level.

^^^^^GOOD SUGGESTION!! !! !!

:wtg:

Maybe an iTunes or Amazon.com credit?

Whatever their special interests are!

Actually, gift cards are nice. They're non-surprising, so you don't have to worry about getting something you don't like and can't control and have to keep. And they're very useful, because who knows better than you what you want? I've always liked getting gift cards. Pick a store that ties in with what they like to do.

Have to be careful... sadly, a lot of stores are going bankrupt.

I had a friend send out to our group an email with a list of stores to not buy gift cards for this year. :(
