Hi, My 6 year old daughter has AS and we would like to have tests done to assess possible allergies to food. I suspect she reacts to milk for example, but really need professional advice. We leave in Ireland - anyone know a service that does allergy analysis on the basis of a urine (or blood) sample? Thanks.

Isn't this something your family doctor or general practitioner should be able to help you with?

In the US it's usually the case that the family doctor will give a referral to an allergy specialist, or arrange the testing themselves.

Skin prick testing can be done. The blood test is called a RAST test. All allergy testing measures the probability of an allergic reaction, so there is the possibility of false positives and false negatives.

I could MAYBE see a blood test as being possible(because you have antibodies, etc...) but URINE for allergies? Can they do that?

Usually they do a scratch test.
