When did You Stop Believing in Santa?

You mean he's fake? What! That can't be possible! (just kidding of course)

Probably 9 or 10, the whole idea and where the presents came from weren't making sense...

I think the year that I ended up not being able to sleep all night, and I found nor heard absolutly no evidence of santa, man that night felt like an eternity. I tried to stay silent about it, and continue the illusion that I still belived, I think I kind of understood why others wanted kids to belive in him.

I suppose I always believed, even when told finally there was no actual Santa. (I pulled the guy's beard when I was four during an Eaton's Store visit. I had a suspicion that old St Nick was phony after that for sure when I saw him in more than one place within a short period of time. My mother told me these store Santas were the old guy's helpers. )

At any rate, the spirit of Santa is alive and well. It is the spirit of giving, and we can stretch it over the whole year.

I never believed. It was illogical.

Same here, it was obviously a made up story just like all the fairy tales I was told.

I don't believe in that s**t never in a million of years.

I never believed in Santa as my parents actually told me the truth. I found it quite amusing that some children in the same year group as me actually believed in Santa.

I was heartbroken at age ten when I realized I had seen the package Santa left for me, earlier in the trunk of the car.

I don't remember when I stopped believing. Is this the kind of thing that is a childhood milestone?

I don't ever remember believing in Santa, but I once stayed up all night to debunk the Tooth Fairy hoax.

I was told stories of the Christ Child rather than of Santa, though I can't remember ever believing in it either.

It didn't matter to me whether this figure existed or not, I never asked nor bothered to find out, but I liked how the tales sounded.

I remember that they were a source of great amusement to me when I was 4.

The "Christ Child" thing never worked out for me, all the things I wished for existed in my fantasy only... So nobody could give me them for a gift.

In second grade. I remember exactly when I found out that there was no Santa: my friends and I were heading into school after recess when one of them brought up the topic. My best friend then spilled the beans about there being no Santa. My reaction was, "Well, I didn't know that, but I suppose I can live with it," I said to myself. Mild surprise, but immediate acceptance.

You know it is said that the point in time when one stops believing in Santa and the easter Bunny is the moment when the logic circuits of the brain take a turn towards their setpoint that will determine how you perceive the world for the rest of your life. Supposedly the older you are when this happens the more creative and open minded you will be.
