I just realized there is one more thing I couldn't do as I kid and I want to find out if theres any link to AS, I could not whistle until I was well into my teens. Anyone else have this problem?

Yes, yes I did. I remember being 11 and was envious of a 6 year old that could whistle.
I'm not even sure if I can whistle properly, but it works for me.
I usually develop my own way of learning to do things because I can't do it the way people can.

I'm still pretty useless at whistling and as a kid I couldn't do it at all. I also have a problem with winking I basically close both my eyes when I wink

I suck at winking too.

Has this got to do with poor motor skills?

I learned to whistle early (whenever it was, other kids couldn't do it yet, just accidental whistling) and I did so well. I liked whistling melodies.

What I can't do up to this day is wolf-whistling though. Very annoying that I can't do it.

Never learned how to whistle. Suspect that might have mild dyspraxia because my articulation and swallowing skills are quite poor in addition to general clumsiness.

I can whistle on pitch. Dead-on, not half a tone off like most people. My family's musically gifted, so I have a good ear; and one week in high school I got bored and started practicing.

It took me a while to learn but i can now whistle with and without fingers in my mouth

In 1st grade I was so jealous of everyone else who could whistle, that I practiced it and practiced it until I could do it. Peer pressure @_@

Still can't do that loud fingers-in-your-mouth whistle, though.

I still can't whistle. I can't blow a bubble-gum bubble either.

I still can't whistle. It took me awhile to be able blow bubbles with my gum.

Oh, and who else cannot snap their fingers? I still can't.

I also count on my fingers "oddly" as my family puts.

one = index finger
two = index finger + thumb
three = first three fingers
four = put down thumb, put up last two fingers
five = put thumb back up

I still can't whistle. Did finally learn to snap my fingers, but not till after I was an adult. But only right handed. And I'm not great at it... I don't always get it right. (Based on trying it right now.)

I can snap my fingers on my right hand, but the sound isn't great and and I can't do it for too long. I can't snap my fingers at all on my left hand.
I can't whistle at all with fingers in my mouth. I never understood how people did that.
I can't wolf whistle but can imitate bird sounds. This comes in useful when trying to trick my cats that a bird is near. My dog goes crazy when I do it too.

Am very melody-minded and I learned to whistle early. I wish I had a bigger range.

At age 25, I am still 100% incapable of whistling.
