I have brown eyes and naturely blondish hair and some people I know keep telling me that this trait is prettey rare for a person since most blonde people have blue eyes.

Does anyone here think this is quite a rare trait?

I would greatly appreciate some answers to this question?

I see a lot of brown-eyed, light-haired people. It doesn't matter.

My wife has light brown hair and blue eyes so she dyes her hair blond so she fits in. Go figure.

I don't think its that rare. For one thing blue eyes is a recessive trait. There's plenty of people with dishwater blonde hair and brown eyes though some opt to get those colored contact lenses in blue or hazel if they need corrective lenses. What is rare are people with two different colored eyes. There was a girl in my high school like that. She looked totally cool. I once had a white Persian like that too; people were always trying to steal her. But anyways don't worry you're not that different and I'm sure you look just fine the way you are.

It's also really hard to find Aussie dogs with brown eyes as opposed to blue.
Sometime people make to much ado about nothing.

The person who told you this is rare has to get out more often and have a look about. Are they from a small town? Now, a red-haired Aborigine is rare. (Australia) If you see at least two blond-haired ones, it's no longer rare.

Check out the Wiki article on eye color. It turns out there's percentages of chance that will determine which eye color you will have. It all depends on your parents and how their DNA interacted when they made you. Brown eyes are the most common in the world, so having them with blond hair isn't that special. Just be satisfied with being special and unique in an Autistic kind of way.
