I am considering accounting as my major in college. I would like to know if anyone has had experience being an accountant and how well it has worked out for them. I would think that it would be a good career for someone with Asperger's, but would like to know any real-life experiences either pro or con.

my first wife was 1 credit short of a degree. She wound up doing bookkeeping (3 double letter combos in that word... but I'm sure she's far beyond that now. Pays well, but if you go for any degree, don't look for what's hot right now, but what's going to be hot 4 years from now.

I took enough accounting in college to discover I never wanted to be an accountant.
