I named every doll I ever owned "Amy" because I wouldn't have been able to differentiate them by name otherwise, and it was my favourite name. I had a favourite Amy but I seldom played with them lest they got damaged. (And because I had no idea how a mother should act).

I once got lost on a long distance drive. I missed an exit while excitedly watching a group of monarch butterflies in front of my car.

When you re-watch the same episodes of The Simpsons on a nightly basis for days on end >.<

When you have (I'm going to go and count them once and for all with today's tally) , ______ # of Brontë novels / biographies, and they fill their own antique, special interest book cabinet. It's overflowing and you need another cabinet soon just to hold them.

Um.... there's 82. Including six editions of WH, five of Villette and four of Jane Eyre.

When you look back and remember a work colleague with an autistic child asking if you're autistic

When you smell one of your neighbours smoking even though you have all doors and windows closed (and live in a house, not an apartment building).

Your mobile makes the "text" sound and you wonder who it is. Fleetingly, you think "It's likely just my dog".

You invented characters who came from whatever country you were studying at the time. I have written stories (none published) about characters from Japan, Spain, Greece, Serbia, England, Ukraine and Russia.

When you know all your favourite movies off by heart and still enjoy watching them.

When you watch a YouTube video on how to pronounce the names of Russian tennis players and you are disappointed because they left out your favorite player, Denis Istomin. (Yes, I watched it this morning). They included Denis Shapovalov, but not Istomin.

You get a new cellphone and immediately go to YouTube to begin accessing videos about your special interests. (Cat videos for me! I saw some really cute ones!)
