The emotional ones, the sensitive, the romantics, the bubbly, the needy who never fail to reveal their that they need you and that they love you..

or

the cold ones, the calm, the collected, the unemotional, the ones who do not display their needs and emotions, that do not say they need you or love you...

which ones do you prefer and WHY?

The above quoted. Emotional people are sometimes entertaining, but mostly exhausting.

Cold, unemotional, calm and at peace. I need stability. No drama. No rollercoasters. Flatline, I don't care. Peaceful, calm is what I seek. *Please* (sorry to sound desperate, but that's how I feel recently).

You know, this thread got me thinking about my past history of romantic relationships, and I started to draw some parallels about who it is that I'm attracted to. I've been with 6 women in my life. ALL of them had absent or abusive fathers. ALL of them were below average stature (short). ALL of them were very controlling or domineering, and attempted to mold me into something I was not. Heck, all of them wore glasses! There's more, but those just jump out at me.

I guess THAT is what I'm attracted to... :?

me too....to a point though...There is a certain over-the-top strangeness that I can't really handle.

I am attracted to creativity, and/or creative compatibility...and niceness..

I should have qualified that a little as being "stranger with reservations".

The compassionate, competent, educated, healthy, intelligent, reasonable, sober ones who aren't afraid to cry, laugh, or otherwise express themselves without becoming overly dramatic about it.

The latter. But add "romantic". I do sometimes need to be told how you feel, I have trouble figuring it out on my own.

I don't respond too well to conventional romantic gestures.

When we could afford it, I would often have meltdowns after Flakey took me out to "romantic"-style dinners.

Cuddling is enough.

Initially, I'd say, too, the stranger the better. However, in the end that's just craving for getting entertained. ... So, actually it's "the cold ones". -- I simply feel like in a movie if she's announcing an "I love you". I simply can't feel what she's referring to by that.

Not really sure, but trust is most important to me. Some degree of introversion would be nice, and also the ability to be flexible with hobbies, interests, etc(as I am)...would be a desirable quality. I also love the outdoors, and always will, so I want someone who would at least respect this quality, or even coincide. :)

I am attracted to people who are normal.... which is about 2% of the population, as even most NTs have a personality disorder, or are manipulative, or just want to make you their play things... A lot of people are like that... I want someone who can accept me for me, and is genuinly kind hearted and will look out for my best interests.
