Philosophy: communication ''with images or gif animation''

In the past I had an obsession with a rather abstract idea about people communicating with 3d images and animations.

I was thinking of using a markup language called x3d, but I worried that if I did any work on that, few people would be able to get x3d browsers , and they would also need average 3d cards.

That's why I thought about making gif images, that I guess anyone can view, and can also make and edit.

Did I confuse anyone? Please tell me what you think about what I wrote.(in any way you like)

Coincidentally I'm doing an animation degree at the moment, thats hand drawn, painted, photoshop, Maya anything I want to do.

I too am interested in images, 3D or not as a form of communiction, in fact I honestly believe that this is the true language of the subconcious and how the mind communicates with itself and processes information. Have you ever studied Jung or the Surrealists? They believed that locked deep in our subconcious is a treasure trove of ancient wisdom stored as archetypal images, just look at tribal artwork, dreams, visions and shamanic hallucinations.

I want my animation to be in a kind of modern hyroglyphic language, cyber-glyphs, and I think the internet is the perfect medium for it. Symbols are all around us, we already recognise and understand as many symbols as the ancient Egyptians

Have you ever been to an Imax 3D cinema and seen "real" 3D? Imagine combining a cyberglyphic journey with that technology, a journey into the subconcious.

My avatar is what I believe to be a ancient memory from my own subconcious, he was a recurring theme in my drawing for years. After studying tribal masks and ancestral memory, I decided to make my own, exept he's made of sponge, not very cosmic really.

Anyway I've babbled enough (Get it? Babbled...Babylon...language?...No? Oh well)

I've not been to an Imax 3D cinema. I've only seen 3d stereo images where my eyes have to look at two different spots which look similar to each other, and then I experience an image differently than if I looked at it with both eyes looking at the same spot.

What I tried to do some days ago was to interpret some senteces and phrases into animations. This is an example phrase:
"I have no place to live".

I tried to interpret this but got troubled.

I didn't get further than interpreting "I" in animation.

how can I put an animation here? must it be on a website first so I can show it?[/img]

My animation tutor wants me to animate AS to help people understand it better

Any suggestions folks. I've got three years to work out an AS dissertation,
but I want to start experimening now.

It could be a WP group project if anyone else wants to help animate or give imput, ideas etc.

My biggest concern is that if I want to do this 'multimedia communication' come true, it's impossible for me to do it alone. If I do it alone, the goal has failed, before I even started.

Ic can't afford to get a space for my animations untill new year.

If anyones got something simple to make into a gif I can
try to animate it, lets start simple though.
I like to draw by hand and then enhance and colour in photoshop

My stuff is generally symbolic but I'll try anything
