Is anybody looking forward to the release of Resident Evil 5?

What do you think of Albert Weskers making an apperence in the game as well?

It's just RE4 with next gen graphic, a steriod abusing Chris Falcon punching black men and this time Wesker has a tan...

So yeah, it looks awesome.

I have the demo, and it is great, although very difficult. I got to only 2-something on RE4, but that was because I got lost. Here, each time with online co-op, either I died or my partner did. That chainsaw attack is unforgiving, and both levels are painfully hard, but it's still pretty fun. Let's hope the difficulty curve in the game is smooth.

have seen a lot of complaints about the demo, with people refusing to buy the game when it comes out.
to do with controls.

The controls ARE awful. I hope they improve them for the full game... although it's probably too late by now :(

When you talk about bad controls, do you mean how your character will stop and slowly aim at the enemies approaching you? because if you are, I'd like you to test something, go to a shooting range rent out the entire thing have them set up moving targets and start running around the field shooting at them like you would in any normal fps game where you strafe and shoot from the hip, and see how many times you actually hit the target, compared to if you stood still and aimed carefully, like you do in the RE games.

What most people don't get is that the resident evil aiming and targeting systems is most likely the most realistic type of controls you will find in most games, also the stop and shoot thing has been in every resident evil game so it didn't just appear in RE4 it was probably just more noticeable because of the over-the-shoulder view.

Also the stop and shoot mechanic is supposed to heighten tension and urgency while you play, I've seen some game footage, and have seen how slowly most of the enemies are, if you could run-n-gun like other FPS's the game would be to easy, and lose all it's challenge.

Darkstone 100- if ye were referring to me I wasn't talking (typing?) about the stop an slowly aim fire system. I loved it in 4. I meant not being able to switch the run/reload and the action/shoot buttons over. And the strifing is just plain irritating.
And Space, no the controls have been slightly changed since RE4 :(

I'd like it if they let you shoot while you move, at the cost of decreased accuracy, like in FEAR and various other games.

The controls just turned me off, that and the forced coop play.

i think this game is awesome, BUT it's just not like it used to be. It used to be a survival horror which is what i loved about resident evil but since no. 4 it's turned into more of a action game. It's still good though :D

My thoughts exactly. I'd almost prefer if they had named 4 and 5 something else and continued with the original style of gameplay they were using.
