Does anyone have a link to info relating to autism prevalence in Europe by country?

Thanks!

:)

No idea, but I'm probably gonna go look it up now! :D

One thing I have noticed, however, is that the majority of Aspies I know in NY are of either English/Irish ancestry, or Eastern European....

I think that ASD statistics are generally unreliable. Each country has different approach to interpretation of ASD. In France for example, where there is a strong influence of lacanism, all genetic interpretations are highly contrasted.

Netherlands Autism Society (NVA):

http://www.autismeinfocentrum.nl/fetch_ ... 060&full=0

if anyone care, i might be prepared to translater

but i gather these days there are sufficient tools for that;
if anyone would like a word-list with translations, CREATE & i shall provide

there is some mention of UK figures, and Europe in that report

I'd like to see the stats state by state in America about autism diagnosis. Oregon leads the way, so I'm told, in the largest number of cases. That's where I live now, and I'm happy because there are LOTS of services!

I saw on some site that it was New Jersey that had the higest number of reported cases?

Thanks for the replies.

I had a look round the net but there's not much there.

I'm particularly interested in whether there's a noticeable north/south divide in Europe. It seems to me that some cultures appear more "autistic" than others, and whether this has implications for diagnosis.
