(Warning: COULD be gross)

Recently, I went to the nutritionist, who informed me that I have a yeast overgrowth in my stomach. Thus, I need to avoid things that have starches in them, as well as avoid things that have sugar in them.

I was wondering: Does anyone know of a "master list" for what foods have starches/what foods are starches?

I'd really appreciate it :)

Thanks :D

basically starches are:

1. Grains: oats, wheat, rice, barley, quinoa, etc.

2. root vegetables: potatoes, carrots, etc.

3. some legumes

basically, foods low in both sugar and starch are the following:

-animal origin products (except honey, obviously): meat (red & white), eggs, dairy
-non-root vegetables (lettuce, tomatoes, etc)
-oils

Fruit is generally sugar-rich but you might want to check which ones are relatively low in sugar.
