Light induced headache?
A few things that may suggest it's a migraine:
1. It's on one side of the head; perhaps different headaches have different experiences, but in any case not both
2. It's a throbbing pain, not a "tense" pain
3. It is debilitating; you don't feel like getting up or doing anything
Light may or may not trigger it, but when the headache is there, the light makes it worse.
Judging by the OP it doesn't sound like a migraine, but I'm in no position of authority here.
