Goo Goo Dolls - Name  I can relate to it, but shush, dont tell anyone

Me too; it's been sort of my "theme song" for a few years.

Anyway, my favorite verse from "Name" is:

You grew up way too fast
Now there's nothing to believe
When reruns all become our history
A tired song keeps playing on a tired radio

And I won't tell no one your name
And I won't tell 'em your name

OMG! I have a soft-spot for Goo Goo Dolls, too! Same with Collective Soul and Matchbox Twenty. Ooooooooooh, ouch - way too confessional.

i have a few, which make no logical sense to me...so I doubt anyone else will get it either

Planet Rock- Africa Bambaataa
I'm losing more than than I'll ever have- Primal Scream
Undercovers on-Rival Schools
Dirty Epic-Underworld
Kingdom of Rain- Soulsavers with Mark Lanegan

I've put a link to thae last one...the first 20 seconds are a bit odd but it is a truly beautiful song and moving video

Yeah, the song is about his growing up a orphan, his family discarded him, and he is singing the song to his sister, telling her everything is okay.
Much like me growing up. Grew up with my cousin, who was like a sister to me, who is now a heroin attic and dont talk to her anymore. The song would be much like what I would want to tell her.

This is one of the hardest questions to answer. I can't say. I enjoy certain parts of almost every song I listen to, every song that I enjoy, of course. It is so based on what mood I'm in, what I think about, the atmosphere, what I'm doing.

Scars of Life http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Djf7Rxwproo
As were sitting here staring each other down
you open up your mouth let your lies spew out
what are we doing here its wrong cant you see
you wanna leave me here, and forget about me

You look me, in my face
Tell me Im, a disgrace
you say that your the victim
I say your full of s**t

all the times you stuck me here
and put me on my own
I feel the same thats why
I've got a bullet with your name

As were sitting here staring each other down
I remember how you used to kick me around
look deep in my eyes come take all my pain
I only have just one bullet with your name

You look me, in my face
Tell me Im, a disgrace
you say that your the victim
I say your full of s**t

all the times you stuck me here
and put me on my own
I feel the same thats why
I've got a bullet with your name

GET THE f**k AWAY!
yea away

Look deep in my eyes
come take the pain from me
all I ask of you
is to get away from me

You look me, in my face
Tell me Im, a disgrace
you say that your the victim
I say your full of s**t

all the times you stuck me here
and put me on my own
I feel the same thats why
I've got a bullet with your name

all the times you stuck me here
and put me on my own
I feel the same thats why
I've got a bullet with your name

I LOVE American Idiot!! ! I also love Linkin Park - when I'm feeling kind of blue. There's are usually songs about (ir)responsibility and redemption. Kind of my life story.
