Okay, so who besides me loves salads? What are your favorite things to put on your salads?

I like using iceberg lettuce and putting fried onions, bacon and garlic croutons on it, then topping it off with a heaping helping of Italian dressing. I also like salad with barbecue chicken in it.

Salad is evil. I hate salad. I will never ever eat it. I can't even stand the smell of it.

I do not much like most salad, but I do love a good bacon salad.

I make mine with fried mushrooms (and sometimes raw also) in addition to onions and bacon (never tried with garlic croutons though).

I use loose leaf salad and dress with sesame seed oil and lemon juice. I include feta or some other nice cheese and also advocado (which goes nicely with bacon). If I have them, a few cashew nuts (must be fresh not stale) are nice too.

Salads are the $h!t!!

Family buys iceberg lettuce, when when I'm out at buffets, I'll go for the greener stuff. Shredded cheese, tomatoes, radishes, red onions, and croutons. Oh, and thousand island dressing.

I can't stand too much dressing. Takes away the flavor of some of the veggies.

I put a nice juicy kebab on my salad to take away that nasty woody flavour  .

I love salads. I like a mix of lettuces, with diced tomato, black olives, shredded cheddar cheese, diced grilled chicken, onions, and topped with either, creamy French(which many restraunts don't have) premium real chunky blue cheese dressing/Ranch mix, or just Ranch.. Then there are the hardier "salads", such as chicken salad, tuna salad, etc. and those are good too.
Another good one is shredded red cabbage, with shredded carrot, and chopped onion, and sweetened itallian dressing.

If that is the case, why post on this exact thread?

Because "The Salad Topic" might as well be a salad-haters' thread...

I consider salad a mere excuse to eat dressing.

My base: baby greens (NEVER iceberg), then whatever I am in the mood for or have on hand, usually red or green onions, cherry tomatoes, black or green olives, feta cheese, blue cheese, chickpeas, tuna, usually with Italian dressing. No two salads are alike, though

Me either.

I love salads. My favourite is either spinach leaves or mixed greens, with sliced cucumbers, celery, carrots, grilled chicken and crumbled goat cheese and a dash of zesty italian dressing or raspberry vinaigrette.
