Hi everyone, this is bothering me a little bit, and since us autistic types pride ourselves in defining, identifying, categorizing, and explaining I thought this would be the best place to ask. What is the difference between an anxiety attack and a panic attack, if any? Thanks!!

They are basically the same thing. Semantics.

You can have bad anxiety without having an attack.

Attack involves hyperventilating, fainting, etc.

There is overlap between “meltdowns” and panic attack. However meltdowns are much more to do with the direct effect of the build up sensory input. It can vary from falling into a catatonic like state to outburst of anger.
