What does this mean when describing a person?

What does it mean when somebody describes a person as being a 'Tank'?

Depends on if they're describing a male or female. It they're describing a guy, built like a tank can mean he's a big guy. Really broad, possibly really muscular. That could be meant as a compliment. For women, definitely not a compliment. It could imply she's a large woman.

due to some strange lense-error, my dad got severely widened on a family posing photo, to which we described him as "a tank" :]
