I think we're getting selection bias, because left handed people are more likely to click on the topic.

I'm completely left-handed. The only things I do with my right hand are things like opening jars/bottles, because I can't hold anything with my right hand. I don't have any control with it.

I am right-handed by nature. I have done damage to my right hand and shoulder often enough to learn to do just about everything left-handed.

don't know if this is what was meant by the opposite of giftedness but am on the borderline area of MR,
and ambidextrous.
not a natural ambi, was a left user when very young but was physically forced to use right hand for everything at school [left handedness mustnt have been a good thing to use then] ,rather than make am a right user it just made am ambi.

I'm left-handed and people say i hold my pen funny and write upside down.
I went through a time of being forced to write with my right hand but it was a mess and slow.

I'm left-handed but do many things with my right hand such as using scissors or using the mouse or the hair brush.

Ambidextrous, no preference for either hand... this causes a lot of confusion when working with tools where someone who is right or left handed would go straight to using that hand where as I don't know which hands to choose because both are the same.

I have very neat handwriting for my right hand and my left hand is neat-ish but not as good and takes much longer.

Also I was on the gifted register at school.

I'm right handed but I wonder if I taught myself to write with my left hand, I'd get to be gifted.

I can also write with my toes and write backwards....if that's even considered a gift.

Left-hand dominant...but ambidextrous for many things....mostly having to do with sports....I do not know whether I bat, or bowl better as a lefty or a righty, and I never know what leg to kick with. It is one of the reasons, aside from horrible motor coordination that I was very bad at childhood sports.

There seems to be fairly high percentage of left-handed people in the autistic spectrum community perhaps in comparison to the population at-large...but maybe um..it could also be, as someone said, due to the fact that lefties will be more likely to click on this thread.

There does seem to be a link between Autism/Asperger's and being left handed. 10% of NT's are left handed as opposed to 32% of autistic people. I myself am Left-hand dominant.
