I was driving today and there was this unpleasant smell in the car, like cheesy or cat piss. I have had a feral cat hanging around the house although I'm fairly careful to leave the windows wound up.

I also have to drive the garbage down my very long driveway to the council bin, it smelt a bit like that, you know that garbage smell. As the day wore on the smell stayed strong, so I figured there HAS to be something causing this in the car, now. I had a good look and there was an unopened carton of milk on the floor in the back which must've dripped a small amount. euww. It was about 3 weeks old but it's summer here. I sometimes chuck the shopping on the back seat and it must've rolled down onto the floor under the front seat. It dripped onto one of those removable mats so I'm currently trying to get the smell out of it.

I guess it's have to be a dessicated apple core that I found one time. Obviously I must have dropped it down under the seat and neglected to pick it up. When I found it, it looked fossilized. Almost like a rock. Florida is also terribly hot in the summer, and will melt or bake many things if left in the car.... It becomes a nice big oven.

I found a French fry that still appeared to be edible. Take into consideration that this same French fry was found in under the seat of a 1990 Chevy Cavalier and the car had been sitting at a dealership for several months before I bought the car. It might have been a few months old…Or years…but it still looked edible.

And no, I didn’t eat it. :eew:

When I was in Uni, I had a very sporty Fiat spider. Of course it went to the shop with great regularity. I went to pick it up, and the manager started apologizing(!) He then put something in my hands. He explained that the mechanic who worked on my car had a habit of looking beneath the driver's seat, just to see what he'd find. The object in question was a small pill bottle full of pot that I had never even missed ! !! (Just a bit embarrasing.)

An unspent 32-calibre bullet under the rear seat, right next to a bag full of some herbal substance that I did not waste any time to identify.

It was a "new" used car ... a Ford Escort ... purchased from a dealer in Carson, California.

When I was in school we used to drive some other kids to school with us and once someone left their backpack in our car over spring break. We didn't worry about it at first, but it turned out that there was broccoli in there! Boy did that smell bad after a week :eew:

A bit off topic but still awesome - my mom once found a dead lizard in her purse!! :lmao:

A homeless guy sleeping. Sad, really...but also a little freaky. I ran back in the house and waited for him to leave. He took the change from my ashtray but other than that - no harm done.

It was a total piece of s**t car - so I wasn't mad and didn't call the cops. 8O

A mouse. He comes in every night and brings a snack with him. I don't have any food in my truck so I know he's been packing a picnic. Last week he brought popcorn. Last night he brough a piece of bread. He eats it on the front seat of the car and pulls tissues out of the tissue box to sleep. When I turn the truck on in the morning he leaves. Then the next day we go through it all over again. I'm guessing he's just looking for a place to crash. He only shows up if it's really, really, cold outside.

My parents found a squirrel in their glove box once.

^ Ha. You're right, it does!! ! I adore the little fella. It doesn't bother me at all that he's there. It just wish he would stop crapping on the floor. That's the part they never put in the storybook.
