I so get what you are saying Padium!! Sometimes I wonder about these kids who start out severely autistic, and the parents theraparise them until they are so called "cured." (Thinking of Jenny McCarthy's boy here.) These kids become artificial Aspies who will be expected to live "normal" lives...but we don't ever fully fit into society. Perhaps they really are better off staying low functioning, where they will never know they are different.
