NK is a FAILED STATE and they are causing Major instability in the region by threatning Japan which in turn is fomenting a Chinese-Japanese conflict. They have broken promises about their nuclear weapons program, are preparing for a missile test, AND worst of all they have cut off diplomatic relations with South Korea and are preparing for War. WHO is going to stop them if we dont take Military Action? NK is not anywhere close to being a military equal with the US and furthermore, we most definitely could win a war with them. Lastly, the country is so beligerant that they have lost the support of their traditional allies China and Russia.

Then let China and Russia deal with them. We have other things to concern ourselves about.

Nah, they're bound to collapse sooner or later anyway. Wait and see.

The first rule of Self Determination is - you don't get to determine how other people live.

We can't launch an attack on them directly, not unless they make an aggressive action first.

Should that happen we (along with out allies in the region) would launch a counterattack. To which the North Koreans would respond with nuclear weapons. If that occurs we'll simply nuke them into oblivion with our huge stockpile of weapons.

It won't be mutually assured destruction, we (or an ally) will lose a city and North Korea will disappear.

The casual ease displayed it this thread of incinerating millions of people, most of whom have no power to change the events or the policies of their government displays a viciousness of humanity which is characteristic of the worst totalitarian government that ever existed. Totally disgusting. Where is all that Christian compassion I keep hearing about?

There are several problems with North Korea which will require some kind of solution:
☭ They're very poor
☭ They're belligerent
☭ They have a few (crude facsimiles of) nukes
☭ They're unstable
☭ They menace US allies
And they aren't God fearing like the South Koreans

It may not be easy to decide what to do with them, but that does not mean nothing should be done.

And there are no Christians there, either.

It may not be easy to decide what to do with them, but that does not mean nothing should be done.

But it should not be done by us (US) or any outsider.

It may be that they are not Free, but it is also true that without Self Determination they are also Not Free - no matter what the outside world chooses to do.

They must fight their own revolution unless and until The People ASK the outside world for support in tying the current regime onto their own Dongs and blasting them into orbit...

And won't it be splendid when that "revolution" winds up in Seoul.
