Fla. student suspended from bus for passing gas

Quote:
LAKELAND, Fla. – An eighth-grader was suspended from riding the school bus for three days after being accused of passing gas. The bus driver wrote on a misbehavior form that a 15-year-old teen passing gas on the bus Monday to make the other children laugh, creating a stench so bad that it was difficult to breathe. The bus driver handed the teen the suspension form the next day.

Polk County school officials said there's no rule against flatulence, but there are rules against causing a disturbance on the bus.

The teen said he wasn't the one passing gas.

Whether he did it or not, he might have gotten off easy. A 13-year-old student at a Stuart school was arrested in November after authorities said he broke wind in class.

Hmmm... the case of the feloniously flatulent fellow... fascinating :)

He was probably suspended for creating a fire hazard.

So if they would serve beans in the school canteen just often enough, they could than stop the bus service at all.

Was Monday the wrong day to pass gas? Should he have saved it for another day?

Ha, ha, ha. This story has made my night. I can't help but laugh. Once in a while toilet humor can still be funny and when someone is suspended for it, that's even more funny.

I remember all the times when I got sent to the principal's office or was otherwise punished for my Tourette Syndrome tics which were causing classroom disturbances. I actually got suspended once because the school administration refused to believe that making random loud noises was associated with Tourette's.

Perhaps in the part of the bus governed by the Chemical Weapons Convention of 1993:

or the Biological and Toxin Weapons Convention of 1925:

...but the school board remains silent but deadly serious about getting to the bottom of this issue.

Ugh, it's not like you can control the smell of a fart. I mean, sometimes you can control the noise, but he can't make it smell bad...ugh, what an idiotic bus driver! Better then my sister's who drove into mailboxes and ran over a cat.
