Elizabeth Moon. She is a sci fi/ fantasy author so you should be able to find it in that section of the book store. i read it. Its written from the point of view of the main character with AS. Very good.

Maybe 'catcher in the rye' is an obvious one, but i read it years ago before i was arawe of AS.
