Seriously? I guess that phrase "bird brain" really does have a meaning then. Either way, they're still pretty smart!

Sorry, but I don't care for Flamingos.

I prefer Sandhill Cranes. 8)

Fun Flamingo Fact of the Day:

Flamingos generally choose places to live that don’t have any vegetation.

we got these
Image

theyre actually kinda small, and i never see them, exept for a rare trip out of town, theyre often a sight or two near streams and lakes.

as a kid i walked all close up to some, near a frozen lake, and some as*hole walked by, and scared them away by throwing snowballs at them :S

that always stuck with me, what a sad sad man, to throw snowballs at a rare sight of wildlife near urbanity :S what a personality to have!

certainly unflamingolike!

This is the coolest thing ever. You can watch live footage of the flamingos at the National Zoo (in DC!). Sometimes they're there and sometimes they're not. I've probably watched them for around an hour total today. There was one time earlier when all the flamingos had their wings out and they all started running towards the camera and then past it. Cute! :D

Yay! I got flamingo stuff at the mall today! :D

I got a plate, a card, and a plushie all of flamingos earlier. About time I can start finding flamingo stuff!

So in total, I have three flamingo plushies, two giant ceramic flamingos, a flamingo sticker, a flamingo plate, a flamingo card (which I'm giving to my bf for his birthday), and a flamingo light switch cover. I've seen other flamingo items, too, but my mom almost always says no if I'm with her, except for the ceramic flamingos (which were like $70 each) and the light switch cover. I've purchased the rest myself whenever she wasn't around.

Wow! That is a lot of flamingo stuff. Do you have a flamingo lawn decoration as well?

I saw some flamingo fabric the other day and I was just thinking how funny it would be if you got some and made a flamingo shirt with matching flamingo pants/shorts/skirt... lol. Actually if you used a flamingo print with different shades of solid pink fabric that could turn out pretty cool. And now that I got started thinking about flamingo clothing, why not throw in a pink jacket with a large flamingo patch on the back...oh the possibilities.

Surprisingly, I actually would not go all out with flamingo clothing. Maybe a sundress or a babydoll tee, but that's it. Oh, and a purse with flamingos on it, but only if it's designer. Yes, I'm a bit picky when it comes to clothes.

I've been trying to hunt down a flamingo a flamingo sundress or babydoll tee for a few weeks now, and I haven't had any luck so far. Hopefully more flamingo stuff will keep coming in as we continue to approach summer. I had much better luck today finding flamingo stuff than I did a month ago.

Inspired by lightning's intense interest in flamingos....

I present my Quick Art version of a rather bulky flamingo that has been rudely interrupted from an afternoon snooze.

I don't have a pink dry-erase marker so I used black, red, and a hint of purple. Total time for completion... 27 seconds.
