...and up at the top, it says, "Users browsing this forum: None", does that make you feel unappreciated and unloved?

Just wondering.

BTW, it doesn't make me feel that way. It just seems kind of funny, in a strange way, to be browsing a forum about autistic social skills, and even the board doesn't know you're there.

well, I don't like much crowds, so it makes me feel better ;)

Anyway, I have noticed the "None" thing and the number of views from few threads increasing at the same time, twice I think, so there might be plenty of hidden users around.

No, if anything, I feel more secure, seeing as how I hate to be involved in anything concerning large amounts of people. Yet, at the same time, you do feel almost as if your existence isn't acknowledged.

I would feel unappreciated and unloved if I opened a topic that would get zero views and zero replies....but browsing the forums I dont feel like that.

Partly because its general and not personal towards either me or somebody else. And partly because I browse around as hidden and know that "none" means that no "nonhidden" member is there. That doesnt mean there can be a dozen of members logged in as hidden just as me beeing there at the same time.

But what really can make me feel lonely on this forum is when the whole page in the "posts since your last visit" is filled up with threads with titles that is so far beyond in what I can relate to they can be. Those moments I can feel Im really on the solo wrong planet.... Luckily that havent happened so often yet

I think its more a conversation in slow motion: all the posters are in the same space and talking (with a campfire, marshmallows, tents... ok, maybe not) , but it takes a little longer to hear (see) the words.

Maybe the board is an aspie too and doesn't like socialising with users? :P

This made me laugh too as I've noticed this before.

I suspect that the count is taken just prior to your own download, so if you refresh after poking around a bit, you'll show up. Try it.
