I used them quite frequenlty when I was around 14. I remember the time before cell phones, when I was a kid and my dad was always having to stop and use them. (He is/was a real estate agent). I spent many childhood hours sitting on the floor of some shopping mall while my dad talked to random people about houses.

When I was a teen, I constantly used to call my parents from a payphone and ask them to pick me up. I can't remember the last time I used a coin-operated payphone, though. In the last ten years, I have used payphones perhaps five or six times in all, and always with a credit card.
