Asperger's syndrome in popular music
"The Wall" by Pink Floyd. The entire album seems like the story of my life. I know Roger Waters was talking about his experience as a rock star, which I'm clearly not. But it feels to me like a metaphor for career success. "One of My Turns" is especially funny in the context of AS.
"Behind Blue Eyes" by The Who. This song just had to be written by someone with asperger's.
So has anyone else identified other popular music that contains the typical AS themes and problems?

yeah, the wall is a great one. I don't think they have such a positive view of it now which kind of sucks because it was like my salvation in college when I fell apart and I listened to it a gazillion times.
I have never really thought about songs that have to do with AS. I like depressing music, I know that. Specific themes of alienation...hmmm. I always loved Babes in Toyland because it was so raw and angry and off at the edges and that is exactly how I felt.
Definitely Björk's Human Behaviour!

If you ever get close to a human
And human behaviour
Be ready, be ready to get confused
There's definitely, definitely, definitely no logic
To human behaviour
But yet so, yet so irresistible
And there's no map
and a compass
wouldn't help at all
They're terribly moody
And human behaviour
Then all of a sudden turn happy
But, oh, to get involved in the exchange
Of human emotions
Is ever so, ever so satisfying
Oh oh, and there's no map
Human behaviour, human
Human, human behaviour, human
Human, human behaviour, human
Human behaviour, human
And there's no map
And a compass
Wouldn't help at all
Edyta Górniak's Szyby is also autistic-like song. Probably it's abouth sth else, but life behind glass wall that never disappear sounds autistic. I translated lyrics here in one thread. Exactly here: http://www.wrongplanet.net/postt120273.html

Gary Numan was mentioned earlier in this discussion and I've the privilege to meet him and his wife Gemma through a mutual friend. His wife told me he has Asperger's. When I listen to his music, especially Cars and Friends Electric I feel they are entirely songs wrote through the eyes of someone with ASD. He even has a song titled 'Remind me to smile' which is something my wife does regularly to me. He's such a lovely guy and his wife is incredibly loving and supportive. I consider him a role model in how I pursue things in my own life.
