The best documentary I've seen on AS isn't about AS at all; it's a film following several kids from 7 to 49, one of whom (Neil) has symptoms pretty close to AS:

This one was one of the first I viewed and I still go back to see it once in a while.

My pick is whitetigerdream's "Growing Up with Asperger's Syndrome".
I can amazingly identify to every single thing she describes about herself. It's as though she's talking about me.

+1 to this one. The subject of the video has the "look and feel" of the way I am. It's actually reassuring to me to see someone with AS look like this, as he seems a little bit awkward when talking to the camera but not incredibly so (like some other videos).

"Something About Us".
This was made out of short videos and texts from many autistic contributors. It was made to counteract the negative anti-autism message from Autism Speaks, and was commissioned from Autreach (with support from ASAN) by TreeHouse, a British autism-education charity:

this is part 1 of 5 of the documentary Brainman. It's amazing and if you like this you should watch the other 4 parts on Youtube.

I and my family have been following Neil for years and years. I am 46 now and saw 7UP when i was a kid, and then the other doco's later on in my life. Neil was always my favourite and the favourite of all my family. I am glad he has his church group and is active in local politics again. He's back to a bicycle again, and is such a downright decent person - just not understood by this world.
I have always thought him ASD - ever since i found out about them.
WHat i find so interesting is that my family - which is very ASD'ish - all tended towards him and we felt he was "one of us" long before we even knew what ASD's were.
