What do you think?

I am definitely going to get one of these machines. One of the coolest features (other than the dual core of course lol) is the power thingy:

The new power adapter with MagSafe connector is designed to magnetically guide your cord into place and disconnect smoothly if someone (else) trips over it.

Stay away from the new x86 macs. Many people have predicted some transitional problems moving to the new plateform. Mac OSX is surpost to be more buggy with the intels and the old mac software will not be compatable.

I would say at least wait until the next model of these lap tops are out. Every one I have spoken to so far has been stay away from eairly intel macs until they are through the rough patch of moving to intel.

But its up to you of course.

I'd wait until the production of the new IntelMacs are a little more ripe.

(Hey there. It's been a long time since I last posted here)

Software-wise: If the consumer (or prosumer) is willing to take a performance hit through emulation, then I would say go for it. If they need the app to run natively on the CPUs and the specific apps aren't ready. I'd say wait.

I don't know if I should be surprised that the chips became available this early.
