Do you mean the first, where Arnold Schwarzenegger played the bad guy?

Isn't there supposed to be a fourth one coming out soon? I've got the first three in a DVD box set.

I love the first Terminator, and I think it's the best of them all. I prefer the darker atmosphere in it compared to 2. Three was not good, though. Really not good. I personally just ignore the third one, because it doesn't have anything on the first two. I've got my fingers crossed for 4...

Love all of the Terminator movies especially the first. I have a good feeling about the next. The trailer looks great and the special effects should be out of this world.

Terminator Salvation

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0438488/

Set in post-apocalyptic 2018, John Connor is the man fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators. But the future Connor was raised to believe in is altered in part by the appearance of Marcus Wright, a stranger whose last memory is of being on death row. Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past. As Skynet prepares its final onslaught, Connor and Marcus both embark on an odyssey that takes them into the heart of Skynet’s operations, where they uncover the terrible secret behind the possible annihilation of mankind.

This is the very first time since the release of The Terminator (1984) that audiences have seen an "evil" model T-800. Moreover, this is the first time John has ever encountered the Arnold Schwarzenegger character in its natural, non-reprogrammed state. The T-850 in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003) was not reprogrammed, but infected with the TX's machine-controlling touch.

That could be a problem. If you've not bothered to watch no. 3 then no. 4 may not make complete sense. I may go and watch the next incarnation of the series when it's released
