Is there a talented artist around here?

I am writing a science fiction story that I hope to turn into a comic. I would like to see the alien race I've created somewhere rather than just my imagination. Unfortunately, drawing has never been one of my strengths.

Are there any talented artists out there generous enough to be of service? Right now all I really want is one picture.

perhaps it would help if you describe this creature so that someone can pick it up and draw it. I know I'd like to take a crack at it.

False. As it turns out, there are several.

I'm pretty good, as is my little brother. He's really good at doing comic-like representation, while I'm at both sides of the spectrum, completely abstract or realistic. He's better at black and white, but I do color better than he does. I might be able to convince him to help me brainstorm some stuff for you. I need a project this summer.
