Sigh... it feels like American democracy is like a really bizarre joke. One of the few differences between Democrats and Republicans is that Democrats have a Donkey and Republicans a Dumbo.

Sweden has started to become a bit like that too. I don't like it one bit...

Actually studies show that the more educated/higher intelligence someone is the more liberal they tend to be. And certainly Obama and Biden are way more intelligent than the moron we had the last 8 years - worst president ever.

Compared to me Obama and Biden are pretty conservative - I'm to the left of Nader - somewhere between socialist and communist.

Considering that the moron led the country into a war to avenge 9/11 against a country that had nothing to do with it, vandalized the environment, arranged taxes to take from the poor and give to the rich, ran the country from a condition of economic surplus to mountainous debt, violated the constitution in all sorts of very grave ways, trashed science and intelligence in any way possible, inserted all sorts of brutality and torture into official legal process, watched New Orleans slip into chaos from tropical storm and barely lifted a hand for real help, and the American people did little or nothing to even slow him down, I wonder who is to blame. If the country permits a moron to do this, what rating can the country that permitted this have?

Worst ever? Bush sucked at his job, and he was definitely not the sharpest crayon in the box, but I have to allow at least 20 years' historical perspective before passing such a judgment as "worst ever."

It is funny people said that of Carter. One thing he knew about was irrigation and soil being a farmer. Yet people ignored his advice, and people are still paying the price. Regan didn't want o say no to any kind of consumption a popularist stance.
