I don't generally like Maddow, although a few recent spots I've seen, specifically with Rand Paul (Ron Paul's son), have at least opened the door to her not being a pretentious mouthpiece. That being said, here is a clip from her show.

The consensus in the centres of power favour these policies, and Obama has made it clear since he first appeared on the national stage that the most important thing to him is to be respectable to these centres of power.... this is no surprise.
