Stuck with friends you didn't choose?

Im kind of weird because I would be friends with almost anyone, though certain types of people i may not be, such as people who are malicious and me dont tend to get along because I would tell them that they were malicious. But I am open to being friends with a wide, vast variety of people. I am trying to adjust my personality so I appeal to a wider range.

Once in a while in school or in the work force a fellow outcast would befriend me for whatever reason; and if after that person had known me for a while and still didn't complain much about my idiosyncrasies, I was usually grateful because that didn't usually happen.
