Very good. I relate totally to this. You are spot on. I have found my son likes two things:

Movies and goody you tube videos.

So we do that together. A lot.

The generalizations I mentioned are based upon research. I would suggest the book “Real Boys: Rescuing our Sons from the Myths of Boyhood” by William Pollock if you are interested in pursuing this topic. Of course, this is not everyone, and there are many exceptions.

Really? ALL of them are like this, are they? No exceptions?

‘We’re a work in progress’ you say. EVERYONE, whether male or female, young or old, is a ‘work in progress’. To this there really are no exceptions to the rule.
