I love Steam. It can cost more to build a PC than it would to buy a console, but you more than make up for it with all the sales and bundles. Some of these early-access titles are the most fun games I have ever played. I re-discovered my love for gaming thanks to Steam :)

I loved it the other month when Sony gave away Binding Of Isaac Rebirth and Steamworld Dig, everyone else I know was complaining and referred to the games as indie garbage.

I've met a few people who I believe are on the spectrum but they don't know that they are and I haven't talked to them about it and don't plan to.

There is a fine line between being paranoid and over-anazlying things and feeling uncomfortable to the point you may appear paranoid to someone that doesn't know better. It's important to differentiate between the two as they would be two completely different things.

I guess I could see how the average person would consider that as a red-flag but if someone is going to judge you negatively based on that instead of who you are then they obviously aren't worth your time anyways. I believe being up front and honest with people from the beginning is the key to findi...

I can relate to it being tough to change your behavior when you've been diagnosed so late in life. You get so use to living that way and after everything you've been through already, it just make things feel impossible. I believe I have become more isolated because it's just easier to deal with my l...

Like I said above, my parents decided I was in need of therapy, but they were good with me doing research and choosing the specific shrink who was best for me, and honestly I don't think s**t would have been accomplished if that wasn't the case. Sadly, when you are on a low income that isn't an opt...

*sigh* I agree with much of what you have written. After years of going to see various therapists and psychiatrists and support groups I can't say I am any better off than I was before I started. Yet in some ways I can say I am worse off than when I started lol.

how can you be sure she's so confident? i clearly don't know the situation past what you've put in your post, but it could be that it is all external and inside she's not that confident. lots of people put on facades like this. judging from her treatment of you, she sees you as an equal fortunately...

I was on Lorazepam, one of those addictive meds. I'd say it helped more than other medications they have tried to give me in the past, but I suppose anything is better than an anti-depressant. Definitely something you wouldn't wanna take everyday, I was real careful with that. When I did take it I w...

In my case it was a necessity. My doctors were too incompetent to do their job correctly and I was misdiagnosed for 17 years. It became quite clear to me that something else was wrong and it wasn't just depression and anxiety. It was a few years before I could get the testing done to prove it since ...

I was misdiagnosed for about 17 years, was told it was depression, bipolar, anxiety, etc. Doctors never listened to me when I told them I didn't feel like an average person with depression. Finally found a doctor that could do testing to give me a proper diagnosis a few months ago. It was nice at fi...

It's nice to be able to relate to people with a similar diagnosis since it is hard for others to understand what we go through, but besides that I find myself feeling like I just don't relate to the people here beyond that.

I find it difficult to trust others also. You're probably quite justified in feeling that way. Don't let others bring you down and about it, and especially don't do it to yourself. Trust in yourself and you'll find answers.
