This is exactly why Pride events and months exist for the LGBTQ+ community, as well as Disability Pride in July. It's also why there's history months for women and others who aren't cis WASP males.

I solved the problem for myself by getting a total hysterectomy, including my ovaries back in December. Then again, my right ovary was trying to kill me with a large cyst that was putting pressure on my other organs, and was too large to deal with, as well as turning cancerous. I was already looking...

It's one of the reasons I'm glad I needed a total hysterectomy, including my ovaries being removed because of a large cyst on my right ovary that was putting pressure on my other organs. At the time, I was looking into getting my tubes removed after Roe was overturned, even though I'm in California ...

Everybody gets denied, so you often have to appeal at least once, and have an attorney help you with the apepals process.

I occasionally have brain fog and low energy, but that's more because of chemotherapy for stage 1a ovarian cancer. It's done as a precaution after having my ovaries and uterus removed, as the cancer cells were found in the fluid of the large cyst I had on my right ovary.

This proves the point that the religious zealots do not have a "live and let live" philosophy. Views like these remind me of The Morality Police in Iran. A good name for the religious right would be the Moral Minority. If they feel a certain way - live their own life that way; don't try a...

Where I live, there's been a surge in Covid/RSV/Flu cases that have filled up hospitals, especially children's hospitals with RSV. As a result, many people and that includes myself, are wearing masks inside crowded places again voluntarily because we're trying to protect ourselves, and those who are...

While I'm glad she's out, I still don't have any sympathy for her as she should have checked the laws first before going to Russia, or any other foreign country. In fact, I hope other US citizens learn from this to avoid all travel to Russia, and to check the laws of the foreign country you plan to ...

My job is about a block away from a commuter rail station, so many of my coworkers take the train to and from work, as do some of the managers. I drive because when gas prices are good, it's not much of a difference in me taking the train as I live closer to the freeway than the local train station....

I haven't had much experience with hospitals other than going in for something like an x-ray, mammogram, or ultrasound that wasn't in a separate clinic. Mostly, I've just been a visitor or driven someone home after they were told they needed a driver. I'm going to be in one soon because I have a lar...

So, keep to these simple rules: 0. This rule is so important its rule 0. Do not gossip, ever. Be a gossip "heat sink." When people come to you with gossip, do not engage and do not repeat. Just smile and nod. It will happen. Gossip can turn a workplace toxic fast. 1. Reveal as little abou...

The one thing I liked was that traffic wasn't bad at all as everyone was working from home. That last week before everything shut down, those of us who have jobs that can't be done from home had easier commutes in the mornings and evenings. Only this year has traffic almost returned to pre-pandemic ...

I figured this was going to happen if Roe v Wade is overturned, other things like this will be overturned. Even though it would mean that Clarence Thomas's marriage would once again be illegal.
