I don't believe that anyone should have control over anyone else's life. That said, I don't smoke and find the smell of cigarette smoke intolerable. I just don't think the solution is to make smoking illegal.

A bogo-sort is when you sort a sequence by randomizing it, and checking if it's sorted. If it isn't, randomize it and try again. Although this is very inefficient, if you can be certain of the "many worlds" theory (if it could happen somewhere, it does), there is a really really efficient way of sor...

I was into alternative rock / punk, but now my playlist is mostly ambient, NZ dub, techno, and industrial. Game music as well, especially the soundtrack to Unreal Tournament, which has some great industrial tracks.

For me, it's not addicted. More like very, very focused. It happens quite a lot. Especially with video games, programming, and art. Even when not at the computer, I still think about whatever I'm currently obsessed with. New ideas strike like lightning, and if I can't write them down/ type them out ...

I don't know. Define "human". I mean, I definitely have strong emotions occasionally. And I connect quite well with other aspies, I have a bit of that feeling of belonging to a community sometimes. But on camp, while waiting in the van for the teacher, about 5 NTs were having a conversation, which c...

Anarchism. I wasn't sure if that was liberalism or socialism. I looked up the definition of both on wikipedia: Liberalism refers to a broad array of related ideas and theories of government that consider individual liberty to be the most important political goal. ... All liberals – as well as some a...

I get most of my music from Nectarine Radio www.scenemusic.eu

It's mostly techo, but there's plenty of good music there in other styles, over 20,000 tunes in total.

is there a better program to use To be brutally honest, almost any other program would be better to use. In order to create that sort of image, you need a program that will let you do so. Find a program that can edit transparent .gif and/or .png files. Use Google and wikipedia to find a free one th...

By that logic, assembly language is the only way do do anything, ever. But of course it isn't. C++ offers much more to the programmer, like functions and classes, and the code the compilers generate is almost as good as hand-tuned assembler. So most coders sacrifice a little bit of execution speed i...

We're separating people (aspies from NTs) just by having a forum for people on the spectrum. On the internet, the idea of having a forum for black people seems stupid. You can't even know what someone's skin color is without their help. It's only relevant when discussing sunburn or vitamin D deficie...

I don't like rainy wet weather much, but I really hate bright sunny days. I'm too sensitive to light to go outside on really bright days; it hurts my eyes. I only don't like the rain because I'm usually out biking in it. I like it when I'm indoors and it's raining.
