Rubbing the satin bottom part of my Wubby on my cheek. (A Wubby is a small security blanket usually used by infants and toddlers)
Playing with small children's toys.
Listening to the squeek of balloons while I make balloon animals

I used to do it all the time. Now only if I need help to focus or if I am very upset and can find a place along the wall to sit and softly bump my head on the wall while I rock to calm myself down. My friends have me proofed the house though, I don't think I have anyplace left to bump my head on the...

I need a dentist so very badly but fear and sensory issues keep me from going. I am way too old to go to a kid's dentist and adult dentists do not understand the mind of an ASD client. I guess I wait until they have to pull all of them at once so I only have to deal with it once.

No longer a child, but I still think and feel very much like one. I am afraid of heights but want to feel like I am flying. I think this might be the best option for me. I do have some questions...Is it loud? Is the air pressure high on your body? If you are noise and touch sensitive is this a good ...

Where to start? I cannot handle silence, but cannot stand not knowing where a sound is coming from. I hate changes in weather, going from hot to cold or vice versa drives me crazy. Loud noises send me right over the deep end. Being by myself scares me but too many strangers around make me nuts. I ne...

I love how they look, I love how they feel until I am in the bed and the slipper part pulls tight on my feet putting way too much pressure on my toes. I am very thankful that they are making more and more of the Adult Sleepers with no feet in them. My parents often had to come cut the slipper part o...

I agree with the other replies to your issue, tell your daughter what her diagnosis is. The better she understands what it is and how it doesn't mean that she is different in a bad way but unique with unique ways her brain works the better. Also anything that she takes an interest in allow her to fo...

Might I suggest a small pail with a stuffed animal, a few good for you snacks and maybe some sidewalk chalk and a small age approprate puzzle. The only issue I can think you may have is the occasional child with food allergies, you may need to make sure that the snacks come from the health food stor...

I, like most, have a mask I wear. The difference I feel is most of the people that admit to having a mask put it upon themselves. I am 42 years old but feel like a child trapped in an adult body. I did not chose to alter my behaviors to fit into society but the powers that be in my life beat me into...
