I'm gluten-free all the time, and miss matzo dearly; it's a (for most people) healthy cracker that goes well with many things, whether one is Jewish or not. Me, I'm left scouring the shelves for all those 'non-gebrokt' Passover goodies...

Born in suburbs, living in country and currently commuting to city but considering giving up the city job to have more time to garden, forage, possibly build a henhouse and get a few chickens, and generally live the country life.

Sounds like a meltdown to me, and I've struggled with them myself recently... and recognizing and avoiding the temptation to violence mid-meltdown seems to me a good sign of one not being a monster.

I won't be much help, I'm afraid, having taken only the intro course required by my university (and then having forgotten it, not practicing coding regularly.) Still, programming is a good skill for anyone to learn, so congratulations on having written the traditional first program!

My horrible persisting-into-my-40s acne turned out to be a rash caused by my consumption of gluten. No one else in my family's ever been diagnosed with celiac or related problems, and several doctors over the years assumed it was 'just' acne and prescribed an assortment of harsh prescription creams ...

Menegroth; I'd far rather hang out with Melian.

Taking a different turn while keeping it fantasy:

Roke or Gont?

Not tired so much as grumpy and crampy. :( I prefer herbal tea - fresh-picked leaves, if I can get them - to coffee at that time in my cycle. Some herbs are said to help a bit; I find yarrow does, but your mileage may vary, and of course make 100% certain plant ID whenever foraging for food or medic...

I'm struggling with something similar myself, and considering options; I may shift to part-time or a less stressful full-time job, or 'retire' to concentrate on the list of stuff we've been meaning to do around the house but never had time/energy for because we both work full-time. Wish I could tell...

A lot of local bands sell physical CDs at shows, including free festivals. If I like what I hear, I like to thank the band by buying a CD; they're probably making little to no money from the gig itself.

In the 60's and 70's if you were a guy that was "different" and especially if you did not talk about girls all the time people thought you were gay and bullied you for it. "Fag", "homo" "queer" etc was considered the harshest things one guy could call another...

None for me, thanks; I decided that around age 10. Besides the general $#%@ed up state of the world, some of my health problems (physical & mental) are inheritable and I wouldn't wish those on someone who hasn't done me great harm.

Same here. I also had a few fall off my wrist, including one that had been a gift from family and that got irreparably damaged in the landing. After losing that wristwatch, I switched to pocket watches and eventually to using my cell phone.

Planescape: Torment technically qualifies as a '90s game, though I didn't get my copy until the '00s.

I still enjoy (and feel sorry for) Wile E. Coyote. I married into a Marvin the Martian family.
