My allergies got to the point that I began keeping track of everything I "ingested" and then I was able to eliminate foods that were offending me that most other people could eat with no problem. I use the word "ingested" here because I learned that whatever comes in contact with...

I think the best thing you can do is invest in a blood sugar monitor so you can check it while you are feeling weak, get a numerical value, and that will reveal a lot. If you don't know how reasonable your blood sugar reading is, get back to me. PM me if you like. If you can afford it, and especiall...

@KitLilly-- When my blood sugar drops, I experience more of an emotional reaction. I begin to feel frustrated, strung out, ticked off about something. But I don't feel physically on the verge of collapsing. We are all different, granted, but could you be experiencing a drop in blood pressure rather ...

^ That's where record keeping pays off. If you can keep track of what you ate and when, how you felt, how you slept, any exercise you did, etc, you begin to get a handle on the causes of what you describe and possible ways to remedy them. It could be what you are eating but it could also be other fa...

I totally understand where you are coming from. I too have a lot of other things going on like being allergic to eggs, unable to eat red meat, most dairy is out, among other things. Fortunately tho I can handle gluten so I am thankful for that. Have you tried some alternative flours such as spelt? O...

Sorry to hear you are having so much trouble. Unfortunately, doctors know diabetes quite well but hypoglycemia they receive little training on and thus know little about. That's why they get the impression that if one's blood sugar drops, you should eat something sugar laden to boost it back up. Not...

Everyone--meet Moxie!

I think this is more what the op had in mind. It is designed to help the child who cannot make friends, help them get so then can make some friends. Moxie isn't new; its been around for several years.

What works well for me is to make full recipes of different things and then freeze them in individual servings. Like chicken soup or a vegetarian stew. I too am on a special diet, one that isn't like any i have encountered. Its just the NeilM diet. But it works for me and helps me sleep well and fee...

While your location may not provide much (or any) in the way of public transportation, you can turn that into a positive in that there should be plenty of quiet back roads you can drive on while you get the hang of it. My recommendation is to get all the practice you can. To drive with a learners pe...

Yes! In fact I avoid stores that do NOT have self check out. For all the reasons you said plus I find it overwhelming to have to deal with a person on top of paying for my merchandise. Oh I have had the odd malfunction but as many times as not the fault was mine and not the machine.

You could be experiencing a panic attack in addition to the motion sickness. The only time I had a panic attack the only thing I felt was dizzyness. I was standing on the ground but I thought I was going to call over. I barely made it to my car where I could sit down. I've never liked roller coaster...

There is something called Campbell Interest and Skill Survey that you can take and it will reveal areas that you lean toward, that you should consider for a career. They have a web site (search for it) but you may have to work thru a counselor of some sort.

Anything you can do with computers holds promise, especially now with all of the robotic applications. Robotics are growing exponentially and every last one of them has to be installed, programmed, maintained, upgraded, and either repaired or declared not cost effective to repair. Someone has to do ...
