My gluten test came out negative. Which is odd because if I eat too much I react negatively to it. But I can still eat a little.

I didn't mean it like he was coming back for me! He's in another part of the country. He also has such a bad wrap with authorities that it's hard for him to get away with things anymore. But I don't associate with him and never will again.

I have had confrontations with at least two psychopaths in my life. One of them is currently in prison and will likely be back again once he gets out. The other has been good at staying out of prison but the way he is I think he's bound to end up there if he doesn't choose to change his general phil...

I love those toy dinosaurs and toy animals made by this specific company. You can find them in middle class children's stores since they're mid range priced. I have been eyeing them for years with the intention of starting a collection. I will probably get my first one sometime this month and I'm 31...

The abstractions can be obstacles because some people might take more time to understand what those abstractions actually mean in a practical sense. In that case they can be an obstacle. They're not useful until they can be understood in the practical sense. Also, there really is no difference betwe...

I was at the doctor's today and I requested to get tested for gluten. I know I have gluten and ceasin sensitives. But I love foods from both those groups, especially dairy. But ever since I decided to reduce my gluten and dairy foods and eat more veggies instead I have noticed a major difference in ...

That's the reason why I recommended it. Because your mind doesn't stop. But the more you practice calming your mind the easier it gets over time.

That reminds me of the biography I read "Against Medical Advice". The kid the story is about had a bad case of torette's and OCD. One of the symptoms was an inexplicable need to grab at people in the oddest places. But never a need to do harm. I sometimes look at people and get the urge to do someth...

I not only have autism but was diagnosed with schizo-affective disorder around 2005. My schizoid problems started around the age 13 and got progressively worse until I was 15. I was removed from my home situation and put in a treatment center for 10 months. It wasn't the healthiest place for me to b...

It's not like learning a language proper at all. All programming languages do the same thing. Once you break it down it actually becomes quite disappointing that it's so simple. All computers do is add and compare logic gates. So all you have in programming are variations of that theme. When you bre...

*keeps chin up* I know this is a different and new question, but when I read about schizophrenia on Wikipedia it said something about people with the condition having a 15 year shorter life expectancy. What exactly does that mean ? There you go! :) As far as the shortened lifespan, whydoyouas...

I'm 31 myself and I'm not only relearning the programming languages I knew from childhood - C/C++ - but I'm also learning Python and I'm going to pick up a bunch of other languages like php, perl, java, simula-67, forth, any many others - there's a lot of new languages being developed right now and ...

I'm a former physics pre-grad student and my quantum field theory is more like pre-quantum field theory. So it's not like I'm any sort of authority or that I can say I know what I'm talking about. But for some reason I feel unenthused about it. I just don't like the phenomenology. Something about it...

I personally don't think it's fair to say animals are better than people a priori . Dogs are the way they are because of biological characteristics of their species. If a human tried to be like a dog then the person wouldn't be taken seriously by the general population, despite how they lament about...

Hi LadyBugS. I'm the boyfriend she made allusions to. I haven't been to the forum in years but thought I'd get back in to it since she wanted to learn more about what it's like. She has challenged me to become a better person in ways no one has before.
