Of the women i've actually asked that I'm close too, none of them have heard of the meme, they all pick the man and one thought it was a rhetorical question. None of them viewed it from the perspective of sexual assault, rather they don't want to get eaten by bears. Who would have guessed that the w...

The meme is pretty dull really. Looking at it from a pure danger perspective, if all men were replaced by bears, I'm pretty sure the outcome would be obvious. Yeah, it's funny how when you intentionally take things out of context, they make less sense  But lets take the silly premise and run ...

^ No, the meme is about the issue of sexual violence against women. Using a bear as a comparison that for some reason can't be discussed. If the bear can't be discussed, why isn't the thread locked? I don't see the purpose of having a thread on a meme where the whole concept is comparing men to bea...

Y'know, it would be great if the thread just returned to the topic - which has been described in reminders several times already, and stopped morphing into a bizarre off-topic discussion about the nature of bears.

The nature of men and bears is what the meme is about though.

I think there are two elements to the meme. The first, how women actually feel about it and the second is the hypothetical reality of the notion the meme is predicated on, should it actually happen.

I think both need to be picked apart.

This all needs to be looked at with the context of the abuse he's suffered from his parents. It's safe to say his parents haven't set him up for adulthood like parents should and personally they do carry some of the burden for him. I can realistically see his parents having a hard time in a court ro...

When is a good time to move out and live on your own? The IDEAL time is when your weekly net income (what's left after taxes and such) is four times the monthly rent. So if your weekly net income is $800 (US), you will need to find a place that costs no more than that much per month. Hmm . . . wage...

I think it should cut both ways. I'm tired of medevil religious grievances from a small area of land on the other side of the planet traveling all the way to the West, causing tensions in secular populatuons that want to keep out of religious crap altogether. Competing nationalisms is the main grie...

Any facility that you have to live in sucks and it's a big shock to your system. Your body doesn't know how to handle it but gradually the emotions will settle down. Their lack of consideration for you seems to be because they're overly structured with how they operate and they're more interested in...

Sounds like the direction of travel is set. Sometimes you just have to do things incrementally so the more socially conservative people don't freak out. It's frustrating for more progressively minded people, but it's better to bring people along with you rather than try to force your progressivenes...
