I suppose it depends on your perpective. I am 35 and among my people generally middle age doesn't start until 50. From what I gather a person is in some cases a young adult medically until you hit your mid 60s. I read about this on a surgery related website a couple of years ago when I was about to ...

My degree is in general biology. I went to K-State, and I was planning on going on to do the vet med program there, but I decided for several reasons (some I could work on and some I can't) that it wasn't the best choice for me. I still wanted to do something with animals, so I kept the biology maj...

So, I'm having a very hard time finding a job I can support myself on. Trying for six months after graduating from college only got me a part-time job cleaning at a retail store, and I've now been stuck there for over a year, despite my efforts to find a better job. I keep applying to places and he...

OP, any employer would be lucky to have you....too bad you weren't at my last retail job. Would have been nice to work with someone with such an honest personality. Ironically my last job was in retail. It was seasonal so I was able to be a bit more honest in my assessment of the place when I was d...

If I made the mistake of hiring OP, with her attitude it probably wouldn't take me long to fire her. I would never work for an employer like you since you obviously don't have a good management ethic. Where did I say that I was late to work or came in drunk anything else you implied? I've heard thi...

(This is a rant and not a complaint against anyone here. I'm just tired of the job search and work nonsense already.) I have noticed more and more articles and ads online talking about millennials (my age group) and to be honest its tiring to read the same thing over and over...millennials are entit...

I have no friends and haven't since 1996. I gave up trying to make them about a couple of years after that. I'm so used to being a loner that I can't imagine anything different than that. Just saying the truth, not trying to play fiddle to anyone.

Given that this book is somehow an inspiration to many people and the hype that surrounds it I decided to try to read it for the first time. Boy, was that about 15 minutes of pain. I read about 50 pages before I just couldn't take anymore and I don't see how Ayn Rand is such a great author. It was t...

As someone who is chronologically a Millennial I would NOT want to grow up in the same time period (1950s to early 1980s) my parents did. Society was nowhere near as nice or as prosperous as people would like to believe: Mouth off to your parents? Go to jail. LGBT people? Go to jail or an institutio...

So, I'm a bagger at a big grocery store, I'm 16 years old, this is my 1st job and I've been working there for almost 4 months. Especially as of late, I am so upset at how often I'm being scheduled on friday/saturday/sunday, compared to the weekdays. There are 2 reasons for that: 1. I have a friend ...

I've been looking into this for a while now and was curious as to what anyone who is self-employed has ran into or anything that they have noticed for trends/markets/good things to buy or sell/and so forth. I won't rehash the frustrations or the nonsense of job searching, networking, working for som...

I wish power metal was a common thing played on store intercoms....that would be awesome. But yeah for the most part I dislike what they play to its either annoying pop music, the most annoyingly twangy country music where the vocalist seems to be singing through their nose, or hip hop with way too...

A person can be intelligent at one thing or in one place and completely clueless in another, remember that!
