I thought things were going well with a match of mine (online dating). It was odd really, we'd decided on an activity and a day for a first date so I asked 'what time should we meet?' then she blocked me.
That's disappointing. |

I prefer saying arse personally. Mardy arse sounds better than mardy ass in my opinion. Mardy is slang for moody, i.e. In a bad mood, grumpy or someone unpleasant to deal with or be around. Mardy bum also works. You can also use it to mean someone threw a tantrum - 'had a mardy'. 'Mardy arse made su... |

- The buses are old. They creak as they move and there's always a worry that the bus is going to break down any minute. - Accidentally getting on a limited service version of your usual bus route, then ending up stranded because it doesn't go where you had planned to go. - Buses just not turning up.... |

So, the Ancient Greeks believed that there were around seven or eight types of love. Eros (Sexual / Physical attraction) Philia (Deep Friendship) Ludus (Playful Love) Agape (Love for everyone) Pragma (Longstanding love) Storge (Love of family / emotional connection to family) And Mania (obsessive lo... |

Dear You,
SHUT UP AND SIT DOWN!
This is my freaking life and I'm sick of you being up in my business all the freaking time. I'm taking a break from you. Get on your bike and clear off.
From,
Me. |

Yeah. It's not easy. It's difficult not to feel burnout by the process. Whenever people tell me about what it was like during an economic boom... it just doesn't sound real. I know it happened, but it's just so alien to me since I haven't lived through anything like that. The economy has been flatli... |

Make that five as of now. I've started to wear dresses more often these days. Still tend to prefer jeans and a nice jumper though Oh how the tables have turned. I own quite a few more dresses now and I quite like them. Never. For one thing I'd have to shave my legs and that's just insurmountable. I... |

You know, I just can't understand why I can't find a woman. I mean, I've been following this guy's advice and obviously he's a solid guy that doesn't wish to financially exploit me by playing on my sense of loneliness. I mean sure, wolves don't have an alpha beta social hierarchy and he sure does sa... |

Man, I've no idea. I seem to be turning into my aunt these days! 8O I'm still trying to get used to that every time I see a mirror. My grandma's sister has dementia, so understandably I'm worried about that possibility. It's been difficult for my grandma. I hope I end up like my grandma instea... |

I'll throw Persephone on this list. Goddess of Spring. Queen of the underworld.
Granted, not exactly the most ideal of stories but Greek mythology never is.
The whole eating the pomegranate fruit and being trapped there reminds me of tales of the fae. |

Sometimes I think about a therapy session I had with a former therapist. I told her about my old school counsellor. How my counsellor would berate me if I didn't answer perfectly and how she hated the questions that I asked. My therapist remarked that despite my counsellor considering my questions t... |

Whenever I watch a movie, I keep two things in mind; the year the film was released and what time period the story is set. I expect cultural and language differences. Although it can be a little awkward when I'm watching an old film and people feel obliged to apologise to me. Relax. I knew what I wa... |

There's a film called 'Teen Beach Movie' (2013) which pulls inspiration from 'Grease', and other musicals that take place in the 1950's and 1960's, as a form of social commentary. Two teenagers from the 2010's find themselves transported into the world of an 1960's musical. In order to escape, they ... |
