It's just not wise for a man to correct a woman when they are first talking to each other. Yes....of course men correct each other all the time. Argue all the time......but it's amongst men! This is a man who just started talking to a woman on the Internet. Yeah, this is one thing a lot of smart pe...

Why does that mean you couldn't be friends? Because his ideas are objectively wrong. A system of government (if you can even call it that) set up like this simply wouldn't work. Anyone with a little common sense can tell you that. But he still insists it would work and that's how everyone should be...

It’s why for example people say don’t discuss politics with friends. My sister gets along with her friends so long as she keeps silent about her political beliefs otherwise they’d fight and not talk. I’ve lost friends over being right about politicis. I'd much prefer to have friends with whom I can...

That's called mansplaining, and you probably came across as condescending.

There's no such thing as "mansplaining." If another woman had said that to her would it still be mansplaining? Or is correcting people who are wrong just against the rules because I'm a man?

If I'm legitimately wrong about something I'm okay with being corrected. What I don't think I would be okay with is being in a relationship with someone who is okay with being wrong. As in I correct them and they immediately get pissy just because I acknowledged that they were wrong about something....

Can I ask you to try to put yourself in her shoes and reverse the roles but perhaps change the topic to something else that she would correct you about? I'd like to know how you'd feel about it. If I was actually wrong and it was about something as unimportant as video game genres then I'd probably...

I was having a conversation I thought was going well but I think I offended her or something. Here's the TLDR version. Did I say the wrong thing? Me: "I like playing video games." Her: "Me too!" Me: "Cool! What do you play?" Her: "I love RPGs." Me: "So do...

I don't think it's going to work. Ever since she told me she's been coming up with more and more reasons we can't date on her own. "Are you conservative or liberal? Well I'm the opposite. Do you support abortion? Well I'm the opposite." It's like she's talking herself out of dating me even...

I told her I wanted to move forward and try having a relationship with her. But I want to hold off on sex until we both know for sure that we want to spend the rest of our lives together. That way if I do end up catching it it'll stay between us. We won't break up and I'll end up not being able to g...

I've been researching it too and I'm having mixed reactions to what I've seen. A lot of sources say that it's not that big a deal. Yes you can catch it and then you'll have it forever but you might never even know you have it. Some people even say it's likely that you might already have it. On the o...

I've been talking to a girl online and we've really been hitting it off. I had (and still have) high hopes to start dating her but today she kind of dropped a bombshell. She has genital herpes. I don't know a lot about it except that its an std so what do you guys think? Should I break things off wi...

Women get harassed a lot online. The cops don't want to be bothered with it most of the time because it's so prevalent. And they certainly don't want to be bothered by women who brought the harassment into their own lives by dating the guy they are being harassed by or by voluntarily giving away th...

How do you know if your friends really like you, or if they only tolerate you because they feel sorry for you and/or are worried about getting judged if they told you to get lost?
