It sounds like the way I am with a lot of women! It's probably because men are likely to be competitive with other men, while women are likely to be competitive with other women. Everyone needs to let go of this idea life is a competition, but sadly that's the way mainstream culture has raised us.

Good that you are still around. And stay around, the world needs all the weird people it can get! :)

Definitely. I hope somehow I can get them to see that, they claim to be experts on children but they refuse to see it.

I feel you with not bonding with either parent. Unfortunately most people don't see things the way I do, most people are still so ignorant, and in this case, the people making decisions with my son are all ignorant and get defensive if you try to educate them. I'm about to launch a blog in any case,...

Hey guys, I saw this, and I felt like I needed to respond. I have been vegan for the last 7 years, although I would never use methods like this to promote veganism, it's counterproductive. Most people do eat meat thanks to misinformation, which I stopped as soon as I could see through it. Some would...

Hi everyone, I'm looking for any studies, articles, personal anecdotes, etc. about how separation from either parent affects autistic children. I'll just tell my story in a nutshell. My son turns 4 today, and thanks to a mental breakdown I had as a result of my ex's narcissistic abuse in my marriage...

Pain means you're going too far in the posture. Try not going so deep, over time that will increase your flexibility faster anyway than forcing it.

I suck at yoga. I don't have the body flexibility and I get tired easily and it always hurts to sit on my back or butt because of the bones and having my knees touch the floor or my elbows without bruising them. I use pillows now to sit on if I do any such work outs that would be painful. It's impo...

In a nutshell, I've found the less I give a f**k if people like me or not, the more they like me. As a yoga studio owner, I could try to appeal to everyone, but no one can appeal to everyone, and to be honest it's exhausting. So I just let my freak flag fly with pride, and the students who come regu...

everyone on the spectrum needs to make releasing the psoas muscle first priority before moving onto anything else! How do people do it? I know how to do it on horses  I know a fair bit of equine bodywork. Human, not so much. Basically you want to target the sides and front of the torso, and th...

One thing that seems very characteristic of people on the spectrum is being stuck in fight or flight response. So by getting rid of that, we can keep the positive qualities of being autistic while getting rid of the negative ones. I'm noticing a definite improvement with a combination of the right d...

I teach yoga! I hear so many students say they're stiff. That's why you come, you don't start yoga because you're already a Zen master who can throw their legs over their head. To anyone thinking of trying it or who is already practicing it, you'll progress much faster if you give yourself permissio...

Wow, Fandom, your mother sounds like my mother! That's awesome that you got support though, and I've observed it does make a difference if a child has at least 1 adult in their life they can count on. And my son has me, now I just have to fight against a justice system that my ex has convinced that ...

Cratilla - Ah, that does sound like a nice concept, I didn't know there was a name for it. Though not so nice if you end up stuck with narcs. AntisocialButterfly, and Wombashkaya - I'm so sorry you experienced that too. It's still such a mystery to me what causes this imbalance of justice when we ge...
